HIST - 1340 Latin American Cultural Tradition Description Beginning with the first Americans and ending with contemporary Latin America, this course provides a synthetic overview of the emergence of distinctive cultural traditions in Latin America. The “old” worlds of Pre-Columbian American, Iberia, and Africa are studied as are the historical processes that created “new” world cultural traditions in Latin America.
