HIST - 3465 Indigenous Environmental History Description This course examines Native and Indigenous relationships within the complex environments of North America, emphasizing how colonialism has in the past and continues today to disrupt and transform those relationships. Through our course readings, research projects, and methodology workshops, we will develop a deeper understanding of the histories of environmental injustice in the Americas and Indigenous attempts to, in the words of Lisa Brooks (Abenaki), “restore a dish turned upside down.”
