MATH - 2308 Mathematics for Data Science Description An introduction to the formulation, interpretation, and predictive analyses of models arising in the life, physical, or social sciences. Mathematical topics will include differential equations modeling with continuous and discrete time models, linear algebra models, regression analysis, and introduction to standard models in Big Data such as ranking systems and recommendation systems. The necessary mathematical and scientific background will be developed as needed. (Offered every Spring) Prerequisites: MATH 1305 or MATH 1311
