PHIL - 3411 Hellenistic Philosophy Description A study of the dominant philosophical schools after the death of Aristotle - Stoics, Epicureans,and Skeptics - with a particular emphasis on ethics (virtue ethics, hedonism) and epistemology. Prerequisite: Any 3 or 4 course in PHIL or consent of instructor.
