SOCI - 3431 Language, Culture, and Society Description Students will analyze the functions of language in everyday life in various cultures, including the role of language in the social production and reproduction of power relations, stratification, gender roles, the formation of racial and ethnic identities, and in the process of social change. (Also listed as ANTH 3431 .)(Offered every other year.)
