Requirements for the minor

A minor in Physics will consist of 18 credit hours of Physics. At least 9 credit hours must be at the upper division level. The minor will normally include the following or equivalent courses:

• PHYS - 1111 Introductory Physics Laboratory Credits: 1
• PHYS - 1112 Intermediate Physics Laboratory Credits: 1

• PHYS - 1311 Introduction to Mechanics Credits: 3 OR
• PHYS - 1309 General Physics I Credits: 3

• PHYS - 1312 Introduction to Electricity, Magnetism And Waves Credits: 3 OR
• PHYS - 1310 General Physics II Credits: 3

• PHYS - 2094 Physics Seminar Credits: 0 (1 semester)
• PHYS - 3323 Introduction to Modern Physics Credits: 3
• plus seven additional hours of physics, six of which must be upper division.
